An Important Warning to all Exhibitors

Please be aware of a company called Fair Guide targeting International Christian Retail Show exhibitors.

It has come to our attention that a company called Fair Guide and operating out of Slovakia is contacting exhibitors and offering what they claim is a free exhibitor's directory listing.

IF YOU SIGN THE FAIR GUIDE FORM YOU MAY BE AUTHORIZING AN ADVERTISING INSERTION ORDER PRICED AT $5,151.

The form we've seen contains this insertion order and contract language in the fine print at the end of the form.

CBA has demanded that Fair Guide cease their solicitation of exhibitors. Similar companies have attempted to run this same program in the past and have operated under such names as Expo-Guide, Construct Data, and Fairguide. Please be weary of signing any forms that you are not sure originated with CBA. If you have any questions, please feel free to e-mail CBA at exhibits@cbaonline.org.

If you've received any communications that seem to fit this description, please let us know. We'll be collecting any data we can in the case that further action becomes necessary.

If you've already signed the Fair Guide form

You may consider immediately sending a follow-up letter revoking your signature stating that the form was not clear and misleading. If you receive demands for payment, you may have the option of refusing to pay based on the misleading terms of the form. Please contact your legal counsel regarding your options in this matter.
