COLORADO SPRINGS, CO (July 7, 2008) – As retail experts preach that the future of retail is all about being consumer-centric, the 2800 Christian retail stores around the country see this trend as their opportunity to seize as they prepare to gather in Orlando at the industry’s largest annual gathering, the International Christian Retail Show 2008. “We’re expecting Christian retailers to come to the Show anxious to explore ways we can ready ourselves and our stores to retail in this new era of opportunity for specialty retail,” said Bill Anderson, president and CEO of CBA, the trade association for the Christian Retail industry, encouraged by signs that consumers are wearying of big-box stores and mass merchandisers and are coming back to specialty retail. “Throughout the Show we’ll be working together as an industry to find ways to continue improving the shopping experience in our stores so that customers will consistently choose us above their other options,” said Anderson.

CBA Welcomes “A New Day” in Christian Retail at
Upcoming International Christian Retail Show
COLORADO SPRINGS, CO (May 23, 2008) – Growing evidence that consumers are wearying of big-box stores and mass merchandisers and are coming back to specialty retail is one of many indicators Christian Retail is entering a new day, according to CBA, the trade association for Christian retail. Accordingly, the industry’s upcoming International Christian Retail Show is being built around the theme, “It’s A New Day.”
“We’re expecting around three thousand Christian retailers to come to the Show anxious to explore ways we can ready ourselves and our stores to retail in this new era of opportunity,” said Bill Anderson, president of CBA. The workshops, training, and Super Sessions at the Show will be geared to equip retailers to understand and lay hold of the opportunities of this new day. “Throughout the Show we’ll be working together as an industry to find ways to continue improving the shopping experience in our stores so that customers will consistently choose us above their other options.”

CBA Cautiously Optimistic About Professional Attendee Pre-Registration Numbers
COLORADO SPRINGS, CO (May 16, 2008) – With outside contractors who handle registration for the upcoming International Christian Retail Show reporting that professional attendee pre-registration is currently running more than double what is was last year at the same number of weeks prior to the Show, CBA is cautiously optimistic about what the trend may mean for the upcoming International Christian Retail Show attendance in Orlando. CBA is also realistic, recognizing that the increases in pre-registration increases, which have been consistent for several weeks could taper off. “We fully recognize that the increases at this point in the process could be attributed to a number of factors,” said Bill Anderson, president of CBA, “but we are very encouraged that retailers are making their plans early to be at this year’s Show, which is the largest gathering in the world of people involved with Christian products.”
